How is the price set? +
Each chair shows a starting price, and the builder adds the exact cost of every option you select — frame, wheels, casters, seating, and more — so the total you see is the total you pay. Pricing follows each manufacturer’s published pricing; you’re not overpaying, and there are no hidden fees at checkout.
Do you have discounts or specials? +
From time to time, yes. When a promotion is running, enter the code in the discount field on any chair’s builder and the total updates before you check out.
Is the fit consult really free? +
Yes. Pre-purchase guidance is included, not a paid product. Configuring a custom chair involves dozens of decisions — getting them right is the whole point, so there’s no charge to talk it through, whether or not you order.
How does payment work? +
You configure your chair, then check out securely online. Because each chair is custom-built to your measurements, it’s non-returnable — but it remains adjustable and upgradable in most cases, and Daryl reviews every order before it’s built.
Do you accept insurance? +
No — these are cash-pay purchases. Insurance billing requires manufacturer participation agreements that compromise independent advice and add months of paperwork and delay. Buying direct is faster and keeps the guidance genuinely independent. If insurance coverage is essential for you, a therapist-led route may be a better fit, and we’ll tell you so.
How long until my chair arrives? +
Lead times vary by manufacturer and configuration — ultralight manual chairs typically ship in roughly 4–12 weeks from order. Getting the configuration right up front (which the consult and order review are for) avoids the costly delay of a chair that doesn’t fit.
